The Weekend

Today is a beautiful Sunday whereby Datou woke up at 6.23am due to a bird (seriously don’t know what bird it is even though it has been around for years) that was not even chirping but just keep on producing a “gua-gua-gua” sound for 10-15 minutes! This bird must be very stupid because last time when Datou was in primary school, her teacher always says empty vessels make the most noise! So that bird is stupid! However, according to dearest Xiuting, that bird must be Godsend so that I’ll rise and shine early to do QT! Hmm…but isn’t it a bit too early when I thought I already ambitiously set my alarm at 8am because wake up time is usually late morning?! That bird must be very holy. Alright! Enough of that silly bird.

As promised, most of us SG members woke up to do QT in the morning! It definitely was a refreshing experience for me.

After spending the whole morning out at KAP, discussing about QT and thinking of Christian names for Weiguang, Sharon and Datou went to BPP to eat ice-cream! Their favorite Soya bean ice-cream! Of course they did not just go there to eat ice-cream but to scout for Prince of Egypt together with Miss Chan! Next Sharon and Datou went over to Raffles City because Sharon wanted to go Mount Zion which is at Raffles Place but Datou mistaken Raffles Place for Raffles City so went there like a wasted trip. BUT NO! It wasn’t a wasted trip! Because Davin joined in later and the happy three were queuing for donuts from Donut Factory! The happy three queued for 20 minutes, ordered for 5 minutes, waited for another 20 minutes for the special orders which weren’t out yet. Amazingly the queue was only very short! Distance from the shop to where they started queuing was only less than 100 metres! Davin lamed out by saying they will eat donuts by the roadside and they really ended up eating donuts by the roadside.

Datou ate breakfast today at 10 plus and ate nothing except that one donut during tea-time. Then now haven’t eaten dinner because waiting for mummy to finish watching the doctor go to Africa volunteer de show on TV.


Datou went to cut hair yesterday with 大头的老姐. Yes both of them cut their hair! And Datou loves her 老姐’s hair now as it is much straighter! Not that she went for rebonding or what... but just nicer than the grass growing on her head before. Even grass needs trimming, what more hair? Wuahaha! Datou's hair is also nicer cause now got layers liao looks much better! But so 心痛 $13 just to cut that 几根头发.

Wuahaha thought this kinda scenario only appear in comedy. So! There is this kinda thing in real life as well huh!

Datou controls her laughter while大头的老姐 was giggling lightly as she wanted to protect her precious hair by not moving too much.

She once shuns at the sight of light at some point in her life. She drew the curtains of her heart so that she could remain in her comfort zone where no light can enter. That’s when she felt most comfortable because the light was far too glaring for her. Due to this defense where she picked up from no idea where as far as she could remember (because she doesn’t want to allow the hurts to reach and grab her once again), life was meaningless for her even though she was in the midst of enjoying herself in the dark, because she was missing out on the good and better things which can only be done in the presence of light! In the absence of light there might be contentment but know that there will be more to it in the presence of light...
